Free for homeowners · No obligation
Get one vetted local solar quote, free and with no obligation.
One vetted, insured local installer. Your information is never resold.
Thanks for your interest!
Our installers work with homeowners, because the owner has to approve a solar installation. If you rent, ask your landlord about solar, or look into community solar programs from your utility. We haven't saved any of your information.
Thanks, you're all set!
If you checked the consent box, your request goes to one vetted, insured installer serving your area, and only that installer, and they may contact you shortly. If you didn't, we keep your request and don't share it with any installer. There's no obligation to buy.

Frequently asked questions
Is SolarMatchup really free?
Yes. Homeowners never pay us. Solar installers pay a fee to be introduced to homeowners who request quotes.
Are you a solar installer?
No. SolarMatchup is a referral service. Installation, pricing, warranties, and financing are provided by the independent installer you are matched with.
Who gets my information?
One installer only. Each request is sent to exactly one vetted, insured installer matched to you and is never shared with or resold to other installers, call centers, or data brokers. See our installer partners and Privacy Policy.
Will I get a lot of calls?
No. Your information goes to one installer only, the single installer matched to your area, and we never sell or resell it to anyone else. Phone or text contact happens only if you check the consent box, and you can tell the installer to stop at any time. To stop your request, reply to our email or use the stop link in it.
Do I have to buy anything?
No. Getting quotes is free and there is no obligation.
Do you check my credit?
No. We don't ask for or check your credit. An installer or lender may ask for permission to check credit if you decide to pursue financing.
Can renters get solar?
Rooftop solar usually requires the property owner's approval, so our installers generally work with homeowners. Ask your landlord, or look into community solar programs in your state.
How much can I save?
It depends on your location, roof, electricity rates, available state and local incentives (check current incentives; the federal residential solar tax credit ended after 2025), and the system you choose. Your installer can give you an estimate for your home; we don't promise specific savings.
